The American Heart Association says that even moderate exercise, walking for 20 or more minutes per day, three times per week, can decrease your risk of coronary disease by half. In addition to the obvious health benefits, Prima offers the following incentives:
Recognition and Commendations for a variety of individual accomplishments
Collective Pride and a Celebration for Participants (Charlotte says likely involving ice cream), if we cover the full route home (approximately 2200 miles). We can do this! If each Prima logs in a mere 26 ½ miles, just under 7 miles a week, we will end up back in Michigan – healthier, in better shape, and ready to celebrate!
Participation Awards for a minimum of 50 mileage points:
- Bike 1 mile = 1 point
- Walk/Run 1 mile = 3 points
- Swim 1 mile = 9 points
